Stanley Briggs

Occupation – Hospital Administrator , Memorial Hospital, Nashville, TN

Originally from New York, NY Age 34

As the youngest hospital administrator ever, in the history of Nashville’s Memorial Hospital, Stanley Briggs has quite a responsibility. The Memorial Hospital Board of Directors took an enormous risk hiring the young, yet confident and enthusiastic, Mr. Briggs. Stanley Brigg’s unrelenting, enthusiastic drive, made obvious his desire to put Memorial Hospital on the map, as a leader in break-though, leading-edge technology and procedures. Stanley’s suave persuasive abilities, coupled with his tall dark and handsome appearance, often tipped the scale enough to convince the Memorial Hospital Board to approve purchases for outrageously expensive medical equipment. Stanley Brigg’s competitive and successful parents from New York, taught him from a young age to do “whatever it takes” to get ahead, a motto Stanley would adopt for life.

Stanley strives for excellence in his work and his personal life, never settling for second best, in either category. It was love at first sight of Head Nurse Virginia Hollister. Stanley was convinced that the two of them together, could attain high social status in Nashville. Stanley and Virginia seemed to make the perfect couple… good looks, youth, brains and promising careers. Hollywood couldn’t have cast a better “Hospital Administrator” and “Nurse” for a blockbuster film.

Stanley Briggs liked to socialize with his top level staff, such as Dr. Grant Lawrence. It was unclear if it was to keep a keen eye on the employees, as a measure to retain the best doctors,  or just because he enjoyed their company. Perhaps, it was for both reasons. Yet, those more cynical, (or just plain envious of the gorgeous pair), floated gossip throughout the nurse stations, that Stanley used such social gatherings, as an opportunity to parade his beautiful prize, girlfriend nurse Virginia Hollister in front of the wealthy and highly successful highly paid hospital doctors.

Stanley Brigg’s philosophy is “knowledge is power”, and a power seeker he is! He studies every angle when trying to ensure every Memorial Hospital patient the best care, by providing doctors with the latest technology and a top-flight facility. In pursuit of achieving the best, Stanley will leave no stone unturned and has been known to search the globe and reach out to experts, such as Dr. Ivan Petrofsky, a famous Russian surgeon. Stanley, always the risk taker, isn’t afraid of going out on a limb, if he thinks the end result is worth it. To date, his risks have paid off, but Stanley’s career is young.

Keep watching “Coach Foster Fights Back” and diagnose Stanley Brigg’s behavior….obsessive about winning or paranoid about losing? Will Memorial Hospital become world-renown for cutting edge technology or will the hospital board just cut Briggs out of the picture? Will Stanley be able to hang on to his lovely nurse Virginia or will a painful break up cause him to retreat back to New York, to nurse his wounds?
